NBSC PARTICIPATES IN 39TH AACCUP NATIONAL CONFERENCE, PREPARES FOR 2027 LEVEL II ACCREDITATIONS
A delegation from Northern Bukidnon State College (NBSC) actively participated in the 39th Association of Accredited and Candidate Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Annual National Conference and General Assembly, held March 24-26, 2026, at the Century Park Hotel in Malate, Manila.
With the theme Advancing QA: Research, Science, and Technology for Transformative Education and Sustainable Development, the event gathered state universities and colleges (SUC) leaders, experts, and policymakers to chart the future of quality assurance (QA) in higher education.
Representing NBSC were Dr. Jovelyn G. Delosa, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Daniel S. Lerongan, Head of the Quality Assurance Office (QAO); Niemfa Love W. Manginsay, Head of the Department of General Education Curricula (DGEC); and Institute Program Heads Dr. Christine C. Royo, Ma. Cassandra R. Tubongbanua, and Shiela Mae M. Orozco. The team donned ASEAN-inspired attire alongside fellow SUC delegates, joining a vibrant processional and immersing in keynote addresses, plenary sessions, and workshops.
Among the highlights included CHED Chair Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis’s keynote address on measuring QA amid global shifts and the 2025 SDG Report, as well as insights from international speakers Mr. Simon Gathua of South Africa and Dr. Nilton Diamantino Paiva Mau of Timor-Leste. Discussions also covered resilience, internationalization, and updates on AACCUP accreditation instruments. Dr. Delosa also represented NBSC at the SUC Presidents’ General Assembly.
Participation in the conference equipped the NBSC delegates with cutting-edge strategies for QA excellence: from revised accreditation instruments to global insights on AI, internationalization, and resilient systems. The team expresses sincere gratitude for the unwavering support of NBSC President Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera, Ed.D., CESE, a trailblazing leader in quality assurance whose vision continues to propel the institution toward its future accreditation journey.
The delegation’s attendance forms a critical step in NBSC’s roadmap to Level 2 AACCUP program accreditation in 2027 for its five key programs. Sessions on updated indicators and accreditation enhancements directly inform these efforts, aligning NBSC with national standards for transformative, sustainable education.
NBSC remains committed to fostering innovation, research, and partnerships to elevate student outcomes and institutional impact.
